The "Green Blob" greets you on this first day of July from the top of the Seattle Space Needle. Yes, it is City Daily Photo Blog Monthly Theme Day ... again ... and this month's theme is the "color green".
I made this outlandish photo in 2004. Although I don't remember exactly what the occasion was, I'm guessing it was a sci-fi event of some sort. Needless to say this guy doesn't live up there, even though Seattle is known as "The Emerald City". And yes, that is indeed a full moon rising behind the Space Needle.

Update:
Loyal follower Jackie tells me this was the grand opening of the Science Fiction Museum at Seattle Center in June of 2004. Further investigation tells me that the Sci-Fi Museum closed a few months ago in 2011.

A perfect take on the theme day! I love it. A beautiful photo!
Wow, this is a gorgeous photo, green blob and all!
Hello from your Pacific Northwest neighbor to the south. Gorgeous Greens! Happy July!
So cool! Love the neon green accent!
Take care.
Cool shot, Chuck. Green day it is.
I think I am feeling about the same as you about postinbg---I have been on CDB for about the same time as you have and--gee whiz--it is just not as important anymore. Why???--who knows. So I will visit from time to time and you do the same--OK??
Like everything else, I missed out on Theme Day but I see you didn't. Nice photo...
Freaky!
Very nice!
Wonderful shot.
Gosh, what a shot! Perfect.
That is a beautiful shot. To add to your vast collection!
Enchanting. I'm inclined to believe the green fellow lives right up there.
Wow, this is the first time I've seen an up close image of the space needle. I'm surprised it's asymmetrical and looks like a spaceship on the top.
Great capture!
Hi, Chuck. I am back visiting blogs; back in Belgrade. I missed this of yours for July theme day, but it is a dazzler. At first I wondered how I missed the blog on the Needle, but see you took it in 2004. I also remember that you told me you're taking a blog break...for a long time?
It's been a whole month. You must have one huge pile of beads by now! Are you starting a new bead blog?
Joni, "Oops"! It has been a month. Theme-day snuck up on me and I missed it. Time really flies when you're playing with fire; not to mention two three-day rally weekends in a row -:))
Thanks for checking in on me. Swing by the market any Monday or Tuesday to see my pile of beads -:))
I must say I enjoyed this photo. One of my brothers lives in Seattle, I've not a chance to visit yet, and works at Boeing. He rides almost everyday to and from work, (he says it's to conserve fuel but we know the truth don't we) and stops in at the same Pub each night before heading home. So now I've had a grand view of the tower and skyline left from the Worlds Fair all those years ago.
Greetings from the Amish settlement of Lebanon,Pa. Have a very nice weekend everyone. Richard from Amish Stories.
Hello Chuck. What's the trouble? I miss your wonderful shots!
The aliens are here already
