Thanks for all your interesting guesses about today's photo. The answer to the riddle is "Zetta". I had lunch at Cafè Rèvó with a friend yesterday. This photo was made through the raindrops on the windshield of my car.
Zetta is the Italian signorina sitting on a vintage Vespa. This particular image of Zetta graces one of the exterior walls of Cafè Rèvó, in West Seattle. I believe this image was originally used as an advertising image by the Piaggio Company in the late 1940's or very early 1950's. The Piaggio Co., in case you don't know, makes the Vespa motorscooter. The company is in Pontederra, Italy, and brought themselves back to life after being heavily bombed during World War II with the introduction of this affordable and popular scooter.
I first posted a photo of Zetta, along with my red Vespa GTS250 on January 29, 2009.
The second post that included Zetta was a photo of City Daily Photo Bloggers Bibi (Yankee in Belgrade) and Kim (Seattle Daily Photo) as well as Joni (Joni James Art) ... underneath the lovely Zetta at Café Révò. This was posted on July 20, 2009.

It was fun, Chuck, though like I said to you in an email, I at first thought Zetta's leg was a deer's....that's a compliment.
Bibi was on my wave length before moving to my wife's. Congratulations to Bibi, and the next time you do one of those, I'll trust - my wife!
Damn, I was close!
Of course I went back and look at all your photos of 2008 and didn't find it!!! ;~))
Bravo to the winners.
