Coffee Competition

Tully's Coffee Corporate Headquarters, the Starbucks Coffee nemesis, is located south of downtown Seattle adjacent to Interstate 5. This building was originally a brewery and had many names through the years and until the year 2000 sported a very recognizable red R at the top for Rainier Beer. Now the top of the tower is dressed to a green T for Tullys.

I've recently found you through Eric's blog http://www.parisdailyphoto.com/
I live just north of Seattle and when I drive to the airport to pick up friends/family, I love to see my initial "T" on the Tully's building! thanks for showing it today!

Tammy, you must be very special to have a building named after you -:)

Thanks for visiting today.

This is my kind of shot. A play of shapes, lines, shadow and light. And when I thought it couldn't get any better, there's a coffee waiting at the end :)

Love the colors of the buildings.

Good coffee instead. And so is Batdorf & Bronson, based out of Olympia, WA.

Batdorf & Bronson is a new brand to me. I'll have to be on the lookout next time I'm in the Olympia area. Thanks.

the colors combine so well..even the (unpainted) blue sky! Lovely day!

Chuck, Those warm paint colors look so gorgeous against that blue sky. I often see this corporate building from the freeway and didn't know there was a cafe on the premises. Great shot!

Coffee wars? Quite the colorful building. I read your profile, and I must agree to a point about photography being work. Happenstance shots are purely luck.

I'm usually scouting out shots and returning later. Disatisfied at times, only to return a third time. Hit or miss, that's my photo hobby. And it takes time; work-and is rewarding.
